Leggings are being worn by women and men around the world now and in the past. If you have no idea, they have been worn for centuries. Leggings are a type of fitted clothing covering the legs. Initially, they were used for protection of the weather made of leather and used one for each leg. In Europe, in the 14th and 16th century (the Renaissance period) the Scottish Highlands wore these kind of protections in their legs. The Native Americans also worn separate leggings of buckskin leather equally. In different moments they were adopted by Long Hunters, French fur trappers and later by mountain man. Continue reading →
